MabThera Virtual Clinic Gives Rheumatologists Real-Life Patient Insight

The MabThera Virtual Clinic, an exciting new web-based resource tool, has been launched, providing key insights for physicians into the use of MabThera (rituximab), the first and only selective B cell therapy for the treatment of rheumatoid arthritis (RA).

Developed for healthcare professionals, the site uses anonymised real-life cases of RA patients from around the world, giving physicians an opportunity to share and learn from experience made by their colleagues. The Virtual Clinic details the experiences of physicians prescribing MabThera and provides an overview of patients’ medical histories and their treatment strategies.

Illustrating the clinical aspects of using MabThera and the efficacy, safety, and duration of response with each course of treatment, the Virtual Clinic allows physicians to gain real-life knowledge and confidence in MabThera and helps them to identify those patients that would benefit the most from treatment.

The Virtual Clinic is an interactive resource tool in which the clinical cases can be viewed according to clinical dilemmas, allowing physicians to access cases according to their specific queries.

The Virtual Clinic forms part of Roche’s ongoing commitment to improving the lives of people living with RA, one of the most common forms of autoimmune disease which affects over 21 million people worldwide.
